President Isaias holds talks with International People’s Solidarity Council delegation

President Isaias Afwerki today received and held talks with a delegation from the International People’s Solidarity Council headed by the Secretary General, Mr. Ahmed Abdelrahman Mohammed.

Asmara, 4 January 2011 – President Isaias Afwerki today received and held talks with a delegation from the International People’s Solidarity Council headed by the Secretary General, Mr. Ahmed Abdelrahman Mohammed.

In the meeting at the Denden Hall here in the capital, the President reminded Sudanese brothers to cope in unison with future developments both in perception and action at the present decisive stage Sudan is going through.

Asserting that the people and Government of Eritrea would as ever stand alongside Sudanese brothers, President Isaias underlined the need to further enhance relations between the two peoples.

Mr. Ahmed Abdelrahman Mohammed told ERINA following the meeting that the friendship between the people of Eritrea and Sudan is both historical and people-based, and that it is currently progressing well. He went on to say that President Isaias and the Eritrean people are closely following up developments in the Sudan. Mr. Ahmed Abdelrahman Mohammed also indicated that he got helpful and constructive ideas from President Isaias directed to the Sudanese leadership.
