The Commander of the Eritrean Police, Col. Mehari Tsegai, conducted a seminar in Massawa city to sub-zonal administrators, area administrators, heads of ministries’ branch offices, the PFDJ, national associations and others. The seminar focused on the role of the society in preventing crimes and accidents.
Massawa, 5 January 2011 – The Commander of the Eritrean Police, Col. Mehari Tsegai, conducted a seminar in Massawa city to sub-zonal administrators, area administrators, heads of ministries’ branch offices, the PFDJ, national associations and others. The seminar focused on the role of the society in preventing crimes and accidents.
Noting that correct ethics and positive perception represents the noble values of the civilized Eritrean society, he stressed the paramount importance of the cherished values in combating crimes and accidents. Col. Mehari further stressed the need for reinforcing such praiseworthy ethics that continued to be bequeathed from generation to generation.
Indicating that crime prevention could not only be accomplished on the part of a specific institution, he urged the general public to remain vigilant and step up contribution in maintaining environmental security. Concerted action is also being taken to enhance such seminars up to the level of schools.
Commending the role being played by the Eritrean Police in ensuring the security of nationals, the participants of the seminar asserted readiness to foster close collaboration with the police.
