Asmara, 13 January 2011 – Asmara residents have called on the concerned parties to take the necessary measures towards limiting the undue expansion of service-rendering establishments in the crowded streets of the capital.

Stating that Asmara’s attractive and clean streets are changing to hectic trade activities, they pointed out that such a phenomenon runs counter to initiatives taken to control road accidents.

The head of control unit in the Central regional Administration, Mr. Kinfe Habtom, said that consultations are underway with the concerned parties to address the issue and take the necessary corrective measures.
