The heads of schools in the Habero sub zone indicated that grouping of small villages into larger settlements is crucial in promoting enrollment of students, particularly that of girls.

Habero, 16 January  2011- The heads of schools in the Habero sub zone indicated that grouping of small villages into larger settlements is crucial in promoting enrollment of students, particularly that of girls.

Speaking to ERINA, the heads of schools called for grouping of villages at a larger scale so as to ensure the effectiveness of the investments in the education sector.

The heads of schools in Af-Ayun and Habero-Tselim, Mr. Adem Indris and Mr. Yacob Idris stated that the changes being witnessed are encouraging and called for more efforts so as to secure extensive enrollment.

The head of the junior and elementary school in Halib-Sete, Mr. Andebirhan Weldit on his part said that general enrollment has increased by 31% from the previous year and that the number of female students has risen by 49%.

The heads of schools finally called on all inhabitants of the Habero sub zone to make ample use of the provided opportunities.
