The Elabered Agro-Industry Plant which is currently run under the umbrella of the Anseba regional Administration has boosted milk production from the previous 700 liters per day to about 1,800 liters daily, according to Mr. Gergis Girmai, Administrator of the region.
Elabered, 18 January 2011 – The Elabered Agro-Industry Plant which is currently run under the umbrella of the Anseba regional Administration has boosted milk production from the previous 700 liters per day to about 1,800 liters daily, according to Mr. Gergis Girmai, Administrator of the region.
In briefings he gave to a number of heads of enterprises in the Southern region who conducted a visit to the agro-industry Plant, Mr. Gergis indicated that animal feed is being extensively produced so as to raise meat and dairy products both in terms of quality and quantity. He further explained that the Plant has already provided ample job opportunities to the local inhabitants.
The regional Administrator further pointed out that the 30 buffalo cows introduced in the Plant for experimental purpose are in good condition, and that the inhabitants are taking active participation in the activities towards reactivating the agro-industrial Plant.
The visiting heads of enterprises lauded the steps taken to reactivate the Elabered Agro-Industry Plant and pledged to work tirelessly in strengthening the existing similar establishments in the Southern region.
