Political awareness of the public in Gash-Barka region on the rise

The activities carried out to raise the political awareness of the public in Gash-Barka region were quite fruitful, stated Mr. Rezene Adonai, Secretary of the PFDJ in the region.

Barentu, 18 January 2011 – The activities carried out to raise the political awareness of the public in Gash-Barka region were quite fruitful, stated Mr. Rezene Adonai, Secretary of the PFDJ in the region.

In a meeting he held in Barentu town with PFDJ heads in sub-zones, Mr. Rezene explained that awareness raising campaign undertaken in the form of seminars, lectures and meetings focusing on the objective situation in the country and the world played vital role in directing the perception of the society. 

He went on to say that the seminars conducted in 2010 in all corners of the region under the theme: “Resolute Rebuff and Reinforcing National Strength” constitute a decisive stage in which the people strengthened the integrated national resolute rebuff.

Mr. Rezene also pointed out that priority attention was given to the task of nurturing dynamic youths, and that such a program would be enhanced this year.
