Passengers voice concern over inefficient work methodology in Barentu terminal

Passengers called on the Harat Transport Company to rectify unfair work methodology introduced in Barentu terminal.

Barentu, 22 January 2011 – Passengers called on the Harat Transport Company to rectify unfair work methodology introduced in Barentu terminal.

They told ERINA that although the Company has increased the number of minibuses and buses traveling to and fro Asmara-Barentu, passengers are nonetheless exposed to unwanted lining up due to the fact that it changed its previously existing efficient mode of operation. In this respect, they urged the Company to urgently remedy the recently introduced inefficient work methodology.

The passengers further explained that a number of buses and minibuses are wasting their time by just parking in the terminal while more people are desperately lining up for hours to get transport service. They went on to say that the reason for all theses problems is lack of efficient management capacity. The passengers voiced surprise for witnessing such a problem that did not exist at the time the number of buses was at the minimum.
