Keren, 27 January 2011 – Various developmental programs have been implemented in different parts of Keren town over the past years, stated the Administrator of the town, Mr. Tekie Keleta.
He told ERINA that significant programs have been implemented as regards to putting in place of infrastructure facilities, renovation of ponds and the construction of an elementary school in 2010. Mr. Tekie further explained that modern Jira Fiori and modern toilet were constructed in the town.
Likewise, a bridge is under construction at a cost of five million Nakfa so as to overcome the inconvenience caused to traffic as a result of river waters. Service-rendering establishments are also being reinforced, among others, Mr. Tekie added.
