Asmara, 29 January 2011 – 4 defecting Ethiopian soldiers who recently arrived in Eritrea said that Army members are fleeing to different corners as the TPLF regime is intensifying its acts of ethnic divisive practice and atrocity against the members.
The defecting soldiers are Zerihun Workneh Yimer and Ali Mohammed Husein both from the Amhara ethnic group, Abdufod Abduselam Humed from the Somali ethnic group, and Dechesa Sani Mussa from the Oromo ethnic group.
The soldiers disclosed that members of the Army have become the prime victims of the prevailing economic and political crisis in Ethiopia, and that every soldier is looking ways and means of abandoning the racist regime.
