Police in the Northern Red Sea region is making advanced preparations in a bid to ease high traffic incidents during the commemorative event of the 21st anniversary of Operation Fenkil.
Massawa, 1 February 2011 – Police in the Northern Red Sea region is making advanced preparations in a bid to ease high traffic incidents during the commemorative event of the 21st anniversary of Operation Fenkil.
The head of crime prevention in the Police office, Lt. Colonel Goitom Gebretsadiq, stated that the preparations include placing traffic signs in different areas, painting trees alongside roads and deploying increased number of police force, among others.
He further called on pedestrians to use the sidewalk and drivers to avoid negligence, taking into account the growing number of pilgrims.
