European Tourists Highly Appraise Eritrea’s Natural Resources

European tourists who visited Eritrea expressed deep impression with the spectacular natural resources and landscape in the country, coupled with the prevailing peace and hospitality of the people. They said that such an asset would enable the nation to become the hub of tourism industry. Asmara, 2 February 2011 – European tourists who visited Eritrea expressed deep impression with the spectacular natural resources and landscape in the country, coupled with the prevailing peace and hospitality of the people. The tourists further stated that they visited Eritrea encouraged by their countrymen who earlier visited the country. Noting that they visited Asmara, Keren, Agordat and Barentu towns, the European tourists explained that they have personally witnessed such impressive potentials which they used to hear from friends.

One of the tourists, a Swiss cyclist, Patrick Sebasi, stated that he was encouraged by friends who informed him that the breathtaking landscape along the Asmara-Massawa road is vital for cycling race. He further indicated that the modest collaboration extended to him by the people was beyond comparison.

A visitor from the UK, Mr. Ayan White, said on his part that from his experience, Eritrea is the only country in which one can move freely with a sense of security. Stating that the prevailing peace and security in Eritrea is rarely found elsewhere, he highly appraised the hospitability of the Eritrean people. Mr. Ayan White particularly admired the neatness of Asmara City which was beyond his expectation.

Also a French tourist, Mr. Renad Scaironkia noted that Eritrea is endowed with unique natural resources and that he was satisfied with hotel and restaurant services in the country.
