The inhabitants of Abo and Kiloma administrative areas in South Denkalia sub-zone expressed satisfaction with the introduction of mobile phone service in the area.
Kiloma, 4 February 2011 – The inhabitants of Abo and Kiloma administrative areas in South Denkalia sub-zone expressed satisfaction with the introduction of mobile phone service in the area.
They explained that at present the inhabitants have become beneficiaries of the necessary basic social services, and that installation of mobile phone service would bring about noticeable improvement in their lifestyle.
The local inhabitants further indicated that previously they used to travel for about 25 kilometers to obtain telephone service in Assab town, and that such difficulty would now be no more.
The Administrator of Kiloma, Mr. Ahmed Mohammed, said on his part the fact that the previously marginalized remote areas are now getting access to equitable social services just like towns fully attests to the incomparable worth of independence. He further stressed the significance of the newly introduced service in facilitating urbanization in the area.
