The inhabitants of Keren town and its environs expressed their appreciation of the adequate supply of fruits and vegetables as well as crops in local markets as part of the Government’s endeavors to achieve food security. Keren, 10 February 2011- The inhabitants of Keren town and its environs expressed their appreciation of the adequate supply of fruits and vegetables as well as crops in local markets as part of the Government’s endeavors to achieve food security.
Speaking to ERINA, the inhabitants stated that since the efforts of farmers to boost their production was complemented by the abundant rains, fruits and vegetable markets in Hagaz, Elabered and Keren are presently an adequate chain of supply.
The inhabitants also indicated that the markets have been stabilized and there has taken place a marked reduction in the price of fruits and vegetables.
