Barentu residents voice commitment to support disabled nationals

The residents of Barentu town voiced commitment to back up the activities of the Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association, and thereby help disabled persons to become self-supporting.
Barentu, 15 February 2011 – The residents of Barentu town voiced commitment to back up the activities of the Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association, and thereby help disabled persons to become self-supporting.

The resident stated that they would work tirelessly in strengthening the participation of the Disabled in all domains. In expression of their support, they contributed about 200,000 Nakfa to this end.

In a meeting with the residents of the town, the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Gebreberhan Eyasu, expressed conviction that the society would reinforce participation in efforts to enable disabled persons become self-supporting and productive.

The Administrator of Barentu town, Mr. Franko Kubaba, said on his part that stepped-up societal contribution has a vital role to play in enabling the Disabled become self-reliant and back up development programs.
