Foro, 16 February 2011 – The Administrator of Foro sub-zone, Mr. Omar Mohammed, called on the general public to apply judicious utilization of water resource so that the Government’s endeavors to ease potable water supply problem may bear fruitful outcome.
In a meeting with the local inhabitants, he pointed out that putting in place of various social services at substantial expenditure attests to the Government’s commitment to promote social justice. Mr. Omar further explained that nationals living in different corners of the country have now access to potable water supply in their respective areas thanks to the Government’s endeavors.
Stressing the need for the public to take active role in the development drive, the sub-zonal Administrator reminded them to cover up mosquito breeding holes resulting from negligent utilization of water resource.
A detailed report on the tasks undertaken to tackle potable water supply problem in the sub-zone from 2005 to 2010 and the challenges encountered in the process was also presented at the meeting.
The participants of the meeting highlighted the significance of equitable expansion of social services in improving their standard of living.
