Kerkebet, 18 February 2011 – A building complex comprising 4 additional classrooms and 12 teachers’ residence has been constructed in Amalayut and Himbol administrative areas, Kerkebet sub-zone, at a cost of over 3.2 million Nakfa.
The Administrator of Himbol, Mr. Idris Mohammed Omar, said that the project would provide moral boost to the teachers, besides tackling existing shortcomings.
Supervisor of schools in the sub-zone, Mr. Ibrahim Ekud, indicated on this part that putting in place of infrastructure facilities is the fundamental factor in the teaching-learning process. At present, the quantity and quality of schools in the sub-zone are registering speedy growth. In this connection, he called on parents to send their children to school.
The head of engineering and project supervision in the infrastructure development department in Anseba region, Mr. Futsum Gebrezgabiher, explained that the construction of schools and health institutions, as well as implementation of potable water supply projects in the sub-zone is being stepped up.
