An exemplary farmer in Adebzege who transformed the environment as a result of his dedicated endeavors in soil and water conservation said that the secret of success lies in hard work and striving with passion.

Adebzege, 19 February 2011 – An exemplary farmer in Adebzege who transformed the environment as a result of his dedicated endeavors in soil and water conservation said that the secret of success lies in hard work and striving with passion.

Farmer Gebremichael Gebremeskel who has already become a model for fellow farmers explained that he is actively engaged in agricultural and land leveling activities in the locality. He stated that he has been working with passion in preventing soil erosion for well over 40 years and that his endeavors have borne fruitful outcome.   

Mr. Gebremichael further explained that his activities are being emulated by a number of fellow farmers, and that he is doing his level best in supporting them. He expressed strong conviction that any land plot could yield bumper harvest, provided utmost energy is exerted.  

Farmers in the area expressed admiration to the dedication of Mr. Gebremichael and that the entire inhabitants are now benefiting from his relentless efforts in soil and water conservation activities.

The exemplary farmer said that the financial and material incentives extended to him by President Isaias last year encouraged him to further expand agricultural activities and put up more work.
