Gogne, 19 February 2011 – The available sufficient animal feed in Gogne sub-zone as a result of last year’s good rainy season has relieved pastoralists from traveling long distance in search of grass and water, ERINA correspondent in the area reported.
The local inhabitants stated that their livestock resources are getting plentiful grass around Mogoraib stream, and that there would exist no concern about lack of animal feed until the next rainy season.
Meanwhile, reports indicated that vegetation, including trees are in the process of being restored to good condition thanks to last year’s good rainy season. The local inhabitants asserted that they would strive to protect longstanding trees from deforestation.
