Student Week Vital In Reactivating Youth’s Potentials: Report

The Student Week conducted in Adi-Keih sub-zone was described to have been a significant platform that reactivated the potentials of youths.

Adi-Keih, 22 February 2011 – The Student Week conducted in Adi-Keih sub-zone was described to have been a significant platform that reactivated the potentials of youths.

Speaking at an assessment meeting, the head  of the Education Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone, Mr. Zaid Tekle, indicated that the event that gives special emphasis to schools in remote areas managed to explore the potentials and creative skills of students.

He further stated that various activities were also carried out to raise the awareness of students as regards sports and cultural domains.

The head of sports and culture at the branch office, Mr. Amanuel Melake, on his part stressed the need for reinforcing endeavors towards properly bequeathing societal values to future generations. 

Various programs, including sports competition, cultural activities, general knowledge contest and debating, as well as poetry recital featured were in the course of the Student Week.
