President Isaias Holds Talks With The Assistant To The President Of The Sudan Republic

President Isaias Afwerki yesterday evening received and held talks with the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Sudan, Mr. Mussa Mohammed Ahmed. Asmara, 28 February 2011- President Isaias Afwerki yesterday evening received and held talks with the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Sudan, Mr. Mussa Mohammed Ahmed.

During the meeting at the Denden Hall, President Isaias emphasized the importance of evaluating the agreement between the Sudanese government and the Eastern Sudan Front as well as the ensuing development projects. Peace and stability in the Sudan is in the interest of the entire Horn region and thus requires genuine endeavors, he added.

Mr. Mussa Mohammed on his part expressed his appreciation of Eritrea’s efforts towards bringing about peace in Sudan, particularly in East Sudan.
