Efforts Underway In Ginda Sub-Zone To Extend Equitable Access To Education

The efforts to extend equitable access to education is registering commendable results  in Ginda sub-zone owing to the Government’s and partners’ endeavors, disclosed Mr. Saleh  Ahmed, head of Education Ministry’s branch office in the sub zone.

Ginda, 2 March 2011 – The efforts to extend equitable access to education is registering commendable results  in Ginda sub-zone owing to the Government’s and partners’ endeavors, disclosed Mr. Saleh  Ahmed, head of Education Ministry’s branch office in the sub zone.

 

He stated that there exit more than 40 schools ranging from kindergarten to secondary levels, enrolling about 12,000 students out of whom 5,000 are females. Mr. Saleh added that the number of students is on the rise as a result of enhanced awareness.

Reports indicated that a testing center, computer center and library is being introduced in schools so as to nurture competent students, and create conducive grounds for extra-curricular activities.
Moreover, Mr. Saleh called for enhanced contribution of parents and teachers for effective implementation of the teaching-learning process.
