Residential housing and water supply projects constructed at a cost over 24 million Nakfa in Tsorona sub-zone for inhabitants of eight villages displaced due to TPLF war of aggression were inaugurated.
Tsorona, 3 March 2011 – Residential housing and water supply projects constructed at a cost over 24 million Nakfa in Tsorona sub-zone for inhabitants of eight villages displaced due to TPLF war of aggression were inaugurated.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Administrator of Southern Region, Mr. Mustafa Nurhusein, congratulated the inhabitants for moving in to modern houses after living in makeshifts and tents for a long time. He then called on them to apply judicious use of the water facilities made available to them. Moreover the Administrator reminded parents to send their children to school.
The Administrator of sub-zone, Mr. Tesfamariam Teame, on his part said that the 537 houses in Mihrad Chele were built according to a master-plan and that water stations are being provided to ease potable water supply problems.
The Administrator of Dibi Administrative area, Mr. Mohammedkier Mahmud, disclosed that most of the inhabitant of the area are engaged in agricultural activities in the fertile Hazomo plains.
