Barentu, 8 March 2011 – The public library in Barentu town is providing vocational and academic assistance to customers after upgrading its capacity in terms of books and equipments.
Reports disclosed that the library which began rendering services in 2006 with 200 books has now increased its books to 7,000, resulting in an increase in number of customers. Moreover, it has offered training to 600 students and government employees and such programs would continue in the future.
The public library of Barentu which has over 300 subscribed permanent members has provided services to over 11,000 customers in 2010 out of whom 4,000 are females.
