Southern Red Sea Region: Development Achievements Indicative Of A Promising Future

The achievements registered in various development programs in Southern Red Sea region over the last 20 years demonstrate the bright future ahead for national progress. This was disclosed at an assessment meeting in which sub-zonal and area administrators took part.
Assab, 8 March 2011 – The achievements registered in various development programs in Southern Red Sea region over the last 20 years demonstrate the bright future ahead for national progress. This was disclosed at an assessment meeting in which sub-zonal and area administrators took part.

It was further pointed out that the provision of social services including health, education and potable water supply to ensure social justice are playing significant role in improving the living standards of the inhabitants.  It was further highlighted that many citizens who started education following the opening of schools in the area have finished their studies in high schools and colleges, and are now serving their people and nation in different sectors.

The participants of the meeting held extensive discussions on the report presented and commended the achievements registered within a short period of time.
In the meeting, administrative areas and individuals received awards and certificates for outstanding work performance.
