The inhabitants of Adi-Keih sub-zone are carrying out commendable development activities on the basis of voluntary initiatives.
Adi-Keih, 12 March 2011 – The inhabitants of Adi-Keih sub-zone are carrying out commendable development activities on the basis of voluntary initiatives.
They explained that the popular campaigns organized by the sub-zonal Administration and the Agriculture Ministry’s branch created conducive ground to reinforce the culture of hard work.
Accordingly, the inhabitants of Egla administrative area constructed terraces on about 13 hectares, stated Mr. Omar Ibrahim, Administrator of the area.
Meanwhile, the head of the Ministry’s branch office in the sub-zone, Mr. Solomon Meles, noted that the inhabitants of Tekondae and Der’a administrative areas are undertaking land leveling activities. He further called on the farming community to make the necessary agricultural activities before the onset of the rainy season.
Reports indicated that 65% of the popular campaign has already been accomplished, and that the participation of women in the undertaken is quite high.
