Inhabitants Of Mie’o Voice Commitment To Preserve Historical Nacfa Trenches

The inhabitants of  Mie’o administrative area, Nacfa sub-zone, asserted commitment to do their level best in preserving the  historical trenches stretching from Teredab to Fidel “Pe” so that they may be passed on to future generations.

Mie’o, 14 March 2011 – The inhabitants of  Mie’o administrative area, Nacfa sub-zone, asserted commitment to do their level best in preserving the  historical trenches stretching from Teredab to Fidel “Pe” so that they may be passed on to future generations.

They stated that they would continue to strive in preserving the structure and setting of  Nacfa trenches that played a decisive role in dealing crushing blowing defeat to the colonial forces so that such a heritage could serve as a historical reference to the Eritrean people and the world population.

In this connection, the local inhabitants called on the concerned party to take urgent action in preserving relics and historical sites, which task is beyond their capacity. Noting that the Nacfa trenches represent a pride to every national, they highlighted the need for making more investment in preserving the asset.

Reports indicated that the right wing of the Nacfa Front comprising the trenches of Teredab, Bet Himed, Fernielo, Denden, Glob and Fidel “Pe” is located in the Mie’o administrative area about which the inhabitants entertain deep pride.
