Vegetable farmers in Laelai-Gash sub-zone are making due contribution in stabilizing the local market through supplying vegetables at fair price, according to ERINA correspondent.
Tekombia, 14 March 2011 – Vegetable farmers in Laelai-Gash sub-zone are making due contribution in stabilizing the local market through supplying vegetables at fair price, according to ERINA correspondent.
The farmers stated that the banks of the Gash river are very suitable for cash crop plantation and that they are boosting production thanks to the assistance being provided by the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone. They further noted that members of the public are becoming beneficiaries of the products which are available at a fair price.
There are more than 70 people engaged in fruits and vegetable farming along the banks of Gas River in Tekombia at the individual and group level.
