A training given in Keren town highlighted the significance of fostering close coordination between health professionals and community in efforts to expand better health service and control diseases to the lowest level possible.

Keren, 15 March 2011 – A training given in Keren town highlighted the significance of fostering close coordination between health professionals and community in efforts to expand better health service and control diseases to the lowest level possible.

In closing remarks, the head of the Health Ministry’s branch in Anseba region, Mr. Kiros Sereqe, explained that competent manpower and efficient managerial methodology are prerequisites for the effective control of communicable diseases.  In this connection, he emphasized the importance of the training in realizing such objectives.

The training focused on drafting programs for controlling diseases and their mode of implementation, supervision and reviewing of program implementation, introducing new mechanisms for improved work performance and undertaking comprehensive study before program implementation, among others.
