Foro sub-zone inhabitants to enhance contribution in crime prevention

In a meeting with the inhabitants of Foro semi-urban center, the commander of police force in Foro sub-zone, Maj. Woldu Zewoldi, called on the general public to enhance contribution in preventing crime and accidents.

Foro, 15 March 2011 – In a meeting with the inhabitants of Foro semi-urban center, the commander of police force in Foro sub-zone, Maj. Woldu Zewoldi, called on the general public to enhance contribution in preventing crime and accidents.

He explained that the Eritrean people’s noble values of mutual respect, ethics, positive perception and discipline have a vital role to play in crime and accident prevention.

Noting that no acts of crime that are issues of major concern have been committed in the sub-zone, Maj. Woldu stressed the need for the society as a whole to properly preserve and bequeath the cherished values to the young generation.

He further indicated that the cause of the road accidents occasionally witnessed in the area is negligence on the part of both drivers and pedestrians, and that public awareness raising campaigns would be enhanced.

The participants of the meeting lauded the efforts being made by the Eritrean Police in safeguarding public safety and pledged to work diligently in combating crimes.
