Training on journalism provided to members of Eritrean community in Jeddah

The Ministry of Information, in collaboration with the Eritrean Consulate General in Jeddah, gave training to 13 members of the Eritrean Community in Jeddah and its environs on journalism.

Asmara, 15 March 2011 – The Ministry of Information, in collaboration with the Eritrean Consulate General in Jeddah, gave training to 13 members of the Eritrean Community in Jeddah and its environs on journalism.

The chairman of the Community, Mr. Habte Woldegergis, pointed out that lack of trained journalist in the Community has been posing obstacles in properly documenting and compiling information regarding its activities. The latest training would now make vital contribution in tackling such a problem, he added.

Likewise, the Eritrean Consul General in Jeddah and its environs, Mr. Abdurahman Osman, outlined the significance of the training and urged the trainees to further enrich their newly acquired skill. He also expressed appreciation to the Information Ministry for organizing the training.
