Election of counseling offices conducted in Mendefra sub-zone

Election of counseling office was conducted in Mendefera sub-zone so as to enable the public obtain efficient administrative service in their respective localities. A total of 75 persons were elected, 5 each from every administrative area. Members of the elected counseling offices expressed readiness to exert the necessary efforts to provide the public with diligence. The coordinating committee said that over 20,000 people have took part in the election process.
Likewise, the election of magistrates was carried out in Adi-Bari administrative area so as to alleviate shortage of community magistrates.

The head of the coordinating committee of courts in the Southern region, Mr. Yemane Okubazion, indicated that elections are underway in 8 semi-urban centers and villages with a view to setting up seven additional community courts.
