Reforestation program underway in 10 villages of Gala-Nefhi sub-zone

Reforestation program was carried out in 10 villages in Gala-Nefhi sub-zone as part of the implementation of the program drawn up for this year in the Central region.

Gala-Nefhi, 16 March 2011 – Reforestation program was carried out in 10 villages in Gala-Nefhi sub-zone as part of the implementation of the program drawn up for this year in the Central region.

The Administrator of the sub-zone, Mr. Solomon Haile, said that soil and water conservation activities, construction of terraces and the planting of cactus are underway before the onset of the rainy season. So far, cactus has been planted over 65 hectares.

The 10 villages involved in the programs are Himbirti, Laguein, Ademneger, Daero Qawlos, Adi-Gembolo, Selaedaero, Ademzemat, Adi-Tsenaf, Adi-Keih, Embeito, Kodadu and Adi-Hiderom.
