Eritrean nationals residing abroad express satisfaction with programs being disseminated by the nation’s media outlets
Eritrean nationals living in various corners of the world said that they are in a position to follow up the objective situation in the Homeland thanks to the programs being disseminated by the nation’s media outlets. Asmara, 17 March 2011 – Eritrean nationals living in various corners of the world said that they are in a position to follow up the objective situation in the Homeland thanks to the programs being disseminated by the nation’s media outlets.
Mr. Tewolde Asgedom from Oakland, USA, who is visiting the country for the 23rd time, said that it was previously difficult to obtain information regarding the Homeland, but now, he and other national are getting accurate information. He further expressed gratification with the achievements registered in development programs over the past 20 years since independence.
Still another citizen, Mr. Hadgembes Haile from Germany said that the provision of Eritrean media coverage in different parts of the world has played effective role in combating distorted presentation on the part of foreign media establishments.
Likewise, Fitsum Girmatsion, a student from Frankfurt city, said that the development of the national media attests to the all-round progress which the country has registered over the past 20 years. Moreover, he explained that the national media is playing significant role in providing youths with up-to-date information, and thereby enable them to enhance their contribution in the nation building process. The media is also assisting Eritrean children abroad to get acquainted with their culture.
