Increased teachers’ support described vital for students of Warsai-Yikealo School for scoring better results
The students of Warsai Yikealo School expressed conviction that the provision of additional tutorial classes would help them score better results in the national school leaving certificate exam.
Sawa, 17 March 2011 – The students of Warsai Yikealo School expressed conviction that the provision of additional tutorial classes would help them score better results in the national school leaving certificate exam.
They further expressed conviction doing so would prepare them for registering the desired outcome. The students also stated that the student-centered approach has enabled them to improve their performance.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Board of Higher Educational Institutions, Dr. Tadesse Mehari, indicated that this year’s exam is underway in a satisfactory manner.
The national school leaving certificate examination for 2011 which began this month is being conducted in Sawa, Asmara, Keren, Hagaz, Nacfa, Massawa, Dekemhare and Maihabar respectively, as well as in the international schools of Eritrean communities in Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Around 19,645 students, out of whom over 8,000 are females, are taking part in the exams in 12 subjects. About 17,000 of the participants have been attending classes at the Warsai Yikealo School in Sawa.
