Pre-education service being enhanced in Anseba region

The head of pre-education in the Education Ministry’s branch in Anseba region, Ms. Tigsti Mehari, urged parents to give priority attention to the significance of kindergarten service as it has a vital role to play in the physical, psychological and creative wellbeing of children. Keren, 18 March 2011 – The head of pre-education in the Education Ministry’s branch in Anseba region, Ms. Tigsti Mehari, urged parents to give priority attention to the significance of kindergarten service as it has a vital role to play in the physical, psychological and creative wellbeing of children.

She explained that in the early days of independence, there existed not only 3 kindergartens in the region but they were also limited in towns. At present, however, the number has been raised to 75 across the region, even the remote areas as a result of the vigorous endeavors made over the past 20 years, Ms. Tigsti added.

She further pointed out that the necessary facilities are being put in place in kindergartens so as to back up the new curriculum system.
