The inhabitants of Laba, Nacfa sub-zone, expressed satisfaction with the Government’s substantial investment towards expanding educational opportunity.
Nacfa, 25 March 2011 – The inhabitants of Laba, Nacfa sub-zone, expressed satisfaction with the Government’s substantial investment towards expanding educational opportunity.
They explained that on top of the Government’s vigorous endeavors, the local inhabitants contributed money and labor in constructing an elementary school involving 9 classrooms.
They further stated that the inhabitants are taking active participation in illiteracy eradication campaign regardless of gender and age.
Reports indicated that about 700 nationals are taking part in Adult Education Program in 5 teaching stations in the area, whereas about 450 students are attending regular classes.
The Administrator of the area, Mr. Saleh Dirhoi, indicated on his part that 8 additional classrooms are under construction by the Government in the school that used to provide educational opportunity in makeshift tent. He also called on parents to send their children to school.
Laba administrative area is located 62 Km. south of Nacfa town.
