Sawa, 26 March 2011 – The director of the Warsay-Yikaalo Secondary School in Sawa, Mr. Kiflai Andemichael, called on students to make the necessary educational preparations before joining the school so that they may score better results in the national matriculation exams.
He stressed the need for students to properly utilize their time in advance, and thereby demonstrate academic excellence. Noting that the support being extended by teachers and caretakers is enabling students to score better results from year to year, Mr. Kiflai indicated that the number of students scoring a passing grade for higher institutions of learning continues to gain momentum.
Warsay-Yikaalo Secondary School in Sawa has enrolled about 17,000 students coming from 69 schools in the country this year. So far, about 100, 000 students from the school participated in the National School Leaving Certificate Examination.
