Sawa education and vocational training center is playing a crucial role in producing skilled manpower required for the ongoing nation building process, disclosed Col. Ezra Woldemichael, the commander of the center.

Sawa, 29 March 2011- Sawa education and vocational training center is playing a crucial role in producing skilled manpower required for the ongoing nation building process, disclosed Col. Ezra Woldemichael, the commander of the center.

In an interview with ERINA, Col. Ezra indicated that extensive efforts were made in the past 20 years of independence to turn Sawa into a center of all-round training and added that the ongoing infrastructural development at present will enable it to become an urban center. The commander further stated that a lot of young nationals have acquired skills and educational training in Sawa and are making due contribution in the nation building process.

Pointing out that the number of youth coming to the center from different parts of the country is rising every year, Col. Ezra said that Sawa not only equips young nationals with skills and education but also instills discipline and sense of unity in them while providing the opportunity for sharing of experiences and maintain national values.

Col. Ezra also explained that students are made to participate in the agro-industry activities in Sawa in their spare time so that they can practice what they learn in their classrooms. He went on to underline that activities focusing on all-round development of the youth will be further strengthened and efforts are underway to improve the capacity of teachers, promote quality of health services and improve water supply systems.
