Gala-Nefhi, 29 March 2011- As part of forestation efforts in the Central Region, 1,600 junior and secondary school students in Kitmewli’e and Himbirti carried out effective soil and water conservation activities.
More than 900 students of the Kebesa-Chwa Junior and Elementary School have finalized preparations to plant over 40,000 tree seedlings, according to the director of the school, Mr. Kibri Tekeste.
Similarly, 600 students of the Himbirti Junior and Elementary School carried out agricultural activities over15 hectares of land.
