Agriculture Ministry Symposium Exhibition Wins Public Acclaim

Visitors to the exhibition of the Agriculture Ministry Symposium that was officially opened by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Arefaine Berhe on April 4, stated that it duly reflected the accomplishments and challenges of the sector in the past 20 years.

Barentu, 5 April 2011- Visitors to the exhibition of the Agriculture Ministry Symposium that was officially opened by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Arefaine Berhe on April 4, stated that it duly reflected the accomplishments and challenges of the sector in the past 20 years.

A professional in agricultural activities for a long time, Mr. Samuel Adom noted that the exhibition portrayed that firm ground has been laid in the sector owing to the efforts of the past 20 years and that the people are set for higher production.

The manager of Tessenei-Aligidir agricultural project, Mr. Yemane Gebretinsae on his part said that research endeavors to promote the sector were well presented and that the exhibition highlighted the tangible results that have been registered in the efforts to achieve food security.

Reports from the area indicated that the exhibition effectively presented the general history of agriculture in the country as well as the projects implemented in the 20 years of independence through photographs, motion picture, briefings as well as models.
