He explained that 16 schools, one hospital, 2 health stations and 6 health centers that were set up after independence are now providing the desired service to the inhabitants.
Mr. Idris Ali Shiker went on to explain that the demands of the local inhabitants for reliable potable water supply have been fully addressed. Accordingly, 3 micro-dams and 20 water reservoirs have been operational towards fully satisfying the needs of the public. He also highlighted the pace of transformation which the historic Nakfa town is undergoing as regards urbanization. The number of the residents of the town has exceeded 13,000, Mr. Idris Ali Shiker added.
