The inhabitants of Gelalo semi-urban center expressed satisfaction with the provision of basic social services over the past years of independence. Reports indicated that a health center, elementary and junior schools, wells operating through solar energy, 4-hour electricity service a day, mobile telephone service, road networks connecting the sub-zone with villages have been made available in the semi-urban center.
Gelalo, 7 April 2011 – The inhabitants of Gelalo semi-urban center expressed satisfaction with the provision of basic social services over the past years of independence. Reports indicated that a health center, elementary and junior schools, wells operating through solar energy, 4-hour electricity service a day, mobile telephone service, road networks connecting the sub-zone with villages have been made available in the semi-urban center. This paved the way for upgrading the living standard of the inhabitants.
Ms. Fatima Mohammed, owner of a restaurant, said that the provision of such services are playing significant role in alleviating social problems, especially those affecting women.
