Anseba region: Construction of schools in full swing

The construction of new schools including additional classrooms and residence for teachers, is being stepped up in ten sub-zones of Anseba region at a total expenditure of more than 91 million Nakfa, disclosed Mr. Gebru Haile, director general of  infrastructure department in the region. Keren, 9 April 2011 – The construction of new schools including additional classrooms and residence for teachers, is being stepped up in ten sub-zones of Anseba region at a total expenditure of more than 91 million Nakfa, disclosed Mr. Gebru Haile, director general of  infrastructure department in the region.
He indicated that so far 13 schools in eight administrative areas have already been constructed, and that the program of implementing 31 different educational projects is in progress.
Furthermore, additional classrooms were built in the administrative areas of Hawsh, Shegali, Orotta, Melebso, Amelait, Hirum, Beyan and Meziret, in addition to the construction of teachers’ residential facilities in 18 schools. A teacher training center is also under construction in boarding schools of Keren and Asmat.
