Ministry of Land, Water and Environment has registers major accomplishments in land allocation

The Ministry of Land, Water and Environment has registered major accomplishments in the past 20 years as regards land allocation and use, according to the head of Land Department, Mr. Tsegai Teamirat.

Asmara, 11 April 2011- the Ministry of Land, Water and Environment has registered major accomplishments in the past 20 years as regards land allocation and use, according to the head of Land Department, Mr. Tsegai Teamirat.
He pointed out that the Government’s Land Proclamation outlines policy guidelines for tackling the shortcomings of previous times regarding the use of land resources.Mr. Tsegai noted that even though every national has the right to make use of land, one has to obtain government permit. He further underlined that the nation needs to make judicious use of land resources and that most of the issues in connection with land use have been tackled.
Mr. Tsegai further explained that land should be wisely utilized so as to equitably benefit present and future generations.
