Keren Orthopedic Plant Registers Production Outcome

Keren Orthopedic Plant is registering improved production following the introduction of modern machineries, according to Mr. Maekele Tekeste, the Acting manager. Keren, 13 April 2011 – Keren Orthopedic Plant is registering improved production following the introduction of modern machineries, according to Mr. Maekele Tekeste, the Acting manager.

He said that various tasks have been accomplished aimed at enabling disabled citizens become self-supporting in line with the Government’s endeavors. The Plant is manufacturing artificial limp, wheelchair and the like, Mr. Maekele added.

He further explained that it has distributed wheelchairs and artificial limp worth over 12 million Nakfa to more than 7,000 war-disabled veterans.  The Acting manager also indicated that it has organized training programs so as to upgrade the capacity of staff members.

Keren Orthopedic Plant renders service to the Anseba, Gash-Barka and part of Northern Red Sea regions.
