Displaced Families In Southern Region Leading Settled Lifestyle

The inhabitants of various sub-zones in the Southern region, who were previously displaced due the TPLF war of aggression, said that they are now in a position to lead settled pattern of life  thanks to the assistance extended by the Government and partners. Mendefera, 19 April 2011 – The inhabitants of various sub-zones in the Southern region, who were previously displaced due the TPLF war of aggression, said that they are now in a position to lead settled pattern of life  thanks to the assistance extended by the Government and partners.

The regional Administrator, Mr. Mustafa Nurhusein, explained that about 376 million Nakfa were allocated for construction of residential houses to over 12,000 war-displaced families from seven sub-zones.

Eng. Kalid Saleh, head of administration of engineering project in the region, explained that schools, health transport and potable water services were provided, besides the construction of residential houses to 1,660 families from the villages of Derhilase, Da’aro-Hara, Debremariam and Hantsetsa.
