He told ERINA that Eritrean nationals residing in the Scandinavian countries continue to strengthen organizational capacity. At present the community has managed to own radio and TV stations as well as websites, thus becoming a strong entity. 

In this respect, Mr. Tekle highlighted the major programs undertaken in augmenting the Martyrs Trust Fund, supporting disabled citizens, backing up development drives and safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty, among others.

Noting that the annually held festival is becoming ever more colorful, he pointed out that it has vital role to play in portraying societal values and culture, bequeathing the nation’s history to the young generation, reinforcing unity and harmony, besides enhancing national programs.

Mr. Tekle also lauded the substantial investment being made by the Ministry of Information for enabling Eritrean citizens in the Diaspora to follow up developments in the Homeland via the national media.
