Eritrean Community In Khartoum Reiterates Readiness To Back Up Development Drive

Members of the Eritrean Community in Khartoum, Sudan, reiterated readiness to back up the development drive in the Homeland through standing alongside the people and the Government. They voiced the determination in a meeting they held on April 15. Asmara, 20 April 2011 – Members of the Eritrean Community in Khartoum, Sudan, reiterated readiness to back up the development drive in the Homeland through standing alongside the people and the Government. They voiced the determination in a meeting they held on April 15.

In a meeting with the Eritrean Ambassador to Sudan, Mr. Mohammedseid Mantai, and the Mekete Committee, the nationals asserted that any acts of conspiracy designed to impede the development drive would be rebuffed as ever through the strong unity of Eritrean citizens at home and abroad. To this end, they reaffirmed readiness to fulfill what is expected of them. 

Ambassador Mohammedseid on his part commended the vigorous endeavors being made by the Eritrean people towards enhancing all-round development. He further indicated that the Eritrean-Ethiopian border issue has reached legal conclusion once and for all.

Also on the occasion, the Eritrean-Sudanese Friendship Association conveyed message of solidarity, while members of the Eritrean community in Khartoum, as well as religious leaders and village elders put forth views and opinions on reinforcing the development and mekete drive.
