A farmer,Mr. Melake Gebrekristos, who is cultivating a plot of land in Dogali, is making positive contribution to the development drive in the area, according to reports Degoli, April 25, 2011- A farmer,Mr. Melake Gebrekristos, who is cultivating a plot of land in Dogali, is making positive contribution to the development drive in the area, according to reports.

Mr. Melake, who started by cultivating a small land plot, is now cultivating more than 50 hectares, and that he has effectively utilized the A’adaita and Yangus rivers through the construction of a 2-Km-long waterway and a reservoir fit for holding 160,000 cubic metres for the cultivation of taff, vegetables and date palms.

Currently, over 70 hectares are being cultivated by a number of farmers in Degoli.
