Inhabitants Of Ferer Express Satisfaction With Provision Of Social Services

The inhabitants of Ferer administrative area, Araeta sub-zone, said that the provision of social services, including education, potable water supply and transport in the area has enabled them to lead better and stable lifestyle. Araeta, 29 April 2011 – The inhabitants of Ferer administrative area, Araeta sub-zone, said that the provision of social services, including education, potable water supply and transport in the area has enabled them to lead better and stable lifestyle.

They explained that prior to independence, it used to take 2 hours to take a patient to hospital in Ti’o. At present,  however, health, education, potable water supply and other services are available in their respective area.

They further stated that previously they were compelled to travel for 6 hours on foot to fetch water that was not even up to standard, and that women and children used to be the prime victims of such hardship. They expressed satisfaction with obtaining potable water supply inside the village

The Administrator of Ferer, Derder Ali Dubara, indicated that the expansion of social services has a vital role to play in the urbanization of the area, and expressed conviction for witnessing more social services in the future.
